This plate (with holes) will not put on "EML" - the EGR valve must work correctly
Due to this blanking plate, hot exhaust gases no longer reach the intake manifold. When oil from the crankcase breather mixes with hot exhaust gases from exhaust gas recirculation, it will create an oil soot film a few millimeters thick in the intake manifold to the EGR valve, significantly reducing the port diameter. This reduces engine power and increases fuel consumption.
