4-pin connector:
Green - MAF signal input (mass air flow sensor) |
Step A
Disconnect the 4-pin connector from the EGR valve
Step B
Connect the emulator wires to the plug that connects to the EGR valve.
Orange wire to PIN 1
Black wire to PIN 2
Brown wire to PIN 3
Step C
MB cars have different mass air flow sensors.
The diagrams show the most common cases, but before cutting the signal wire, check if the wire is correct.
1. Connect the voltmeter between GND (ground) and the wire we are checking
2. With ignition on, engine off - voltage should be 1V
3. When the engine is running at idle - voltage should be between 1.5-2.5V
DO NOT CONNECT the emulator if the voltage in the wire is 5 or more volts!
It is not the signal wire
Mass air flow sensor with 5 contacts
Cut PIN 5 of the MAF (mass air flow sensor) wire and connect the green and blue wires of the emulator as shown in the schematic diagram below
Mass air flow sensor with 4 contacts
Cut PIN 4 of the MAF (mass air flow sensor) wire and connect the green and blue wires of the emulator, as shown in the schematic diagram below.
(!) NOTE
Installation is complete.
In normal emulator operation, the EGR valve should be closed.
Check the EGR valve, if it is not closed, close it.
