Elimination of Airbag and Seat Occupancy Fault FIAT STILO
Warning: Do not carry babies in child seats in the front passenger seat because in the event of an accident the airbag will always deploy; it cannot be deactivated. This is a temporary solution; we always recommend replacing defective components with manufacturer-approved parts.
Instructions:
- Remove the key from the ignition.
- Locate and unplug the seat occupancy sensor connector. (Underneath the front passenger seat, at the rear.)
- Connect our emulator.
- Start the car.
In a few cases, the airbag fault remains stored in the ECU and must be cleared with a diagnostic tool (this usually happens if you have driven for a long time with the fault light on).
