Elimination of Mercedes Benz Airbag and Seat Occupancy Fault

Warning: Do not carry babies in a child seat in the front passenger seat, because in the event of an accident the airbag will always deploy and cannot be deactivated. This is a temporary solution; we always recommend replacing faulty components with manufacturer-approved parts.

Instructions:

1. Remove the ignition key.
2. Locate and unplug the seat occupancy sensor connector. (Underneath the front passenger seat, at the rear.)
3. Connect our emulator.
4. Start the car.

In a few cases, the airbag fault remains stored in the ECU and must be cleared with a diagnostic tool (this usually happens if you have driven for a long time with the fault light on).
