FORD MONDEO Airbag and Seat Occupancy Fault Override

Warning: Do not carry babies in a child seat in the front passenger seat because in the event of an accident the airbag will always deploy; it cannot be disconnected. This is a temporary solution, we always recommend replacing defective components with manufacturer-approved parts for the vehicle.

1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition.

2. Locate the 4-wire seat mat connector under the passenger seat. The wires have the following colors:

white with a green stripe
brown with a green stripe
black with a green stripe
green with a black stripe

3. You need to cut these wires. Take the wires coming from the seat mat connector and connect them to the emulator according to the diagram below:

4. The wires and the emulator must be connected using the quick connectors included with the emulator. Take the first seat mat wire (white with a green stripe) and insert it into the quick connector. Now take the white wire from the emulator and insert it into the same connector but in the second hole.

5. Now push down the orange part of the quick connector, and repeat the same procedure with other wires.

6.Start the engine and connect a diagnostic tool to clear the old fault code stored in the memory.
