Installation instructions for vehicles with pneumatic EGR valve:
CABLES:
RED: +12V power supply
BLACK: Control
BROWN: Ground
GREEN: MAF signal input (flow meter)
BLUE: MAF output (connected to engine ECU)
ALL CONNECTION ACTIVITIES MUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE IGNITION OFF!
1. Remove the key from the ignition.
2. Disconnect the solenoid valve cable.
3. Turn the key to the ignition position.
4. Measure the voltage of the solenoid valve cable pins with respect to ground. Then again remove the key from the ignition.
5. Connect the red cable of the emulator to the 12V PIN. The black cable connects to the other PIN of approx. 3V.
The solenoid valve plug can be removed and the cables connected directly.
The flow meter plug has pin numbering from 1 to 5. Pin 1 may be unused.
6. We will bridge the cable of PIN 5: Cut the cable of PIN 5.
7. Connect the green cable of the emulator to cable 5 towards the flow meter (this is very important).
The blue cable connects to the other part of pin 5 (according to the diagram).
8. Connect the brown cable to the pin 3 cable of the flow meter (direct "T" connection).
9. Insulate the connections well!!!
10. The vacuum solenoid valve can be removed, what is important is to seal the vacuum hose well (with a screw and glue). The emulator can be secured with plastic ties.
11. Make sure that the EGR valve does not allow gases to pass through.
The engine can be started. If everything is done correctly, the valve fault should disappear, in some cases it is necessary to clear the faults from the control unit.
