EMU-01 Installation

EGR emulator installation guide. Emulator replaces broken "Wahler" EGR valve with electric control.


4-pin connector:


1.
Orange: EGR valve control from the engine ECU
2. Black: +12V supply voltage
3. Brown: Ground
4. Blue:  signal feedback to the engine ECU

Two separate wires:

Green - MAF (mass air flow sensor) signal input
Blue - MAF (mass air flow sensor) output


Installation in GM group (Opel, SAAB)

Step A

Disconnect the 4-pin connector from the EGR Valve

Step B
Connect the 4-pin EGR connector with the emulator

Step C
Cut PIN 5 wire of the MAF (mass air flow sensor), and connect green and blue wires of the emulator as shown in the schematic diagram below: 

(!) NOTE
You have completed the installation.
In normal operation of the emulator, the EGR valve should be closed.
Check the EGR valve; if it is not closed, close it manually.
