Auxiliary diagnostic tool – passenger seat occupancy sensor

This device is designed for diagnostic and troubleshooting use.

It allows you to easily verify if the error displayed on the instrument panel is related to a faulty mat/occupancy sensor.

✔ If the seat mat is damaged, the error and warning light will temporarily turn off after installation.

✔ If the cause of the problem is different, the warning light will remain on.

Compatible cars:

BMW 3 Series E90, E91, E92, E93

BMW 5 Series E60, E61 from ~ 10.2005

BMW 6 Series E63, E64 from ~ 10.2005

BMW 7 Series E65, E66, E67, E68 from ~ 2005 -2009

INSTALLATION:

Remove the key from the ignition.

1. Locate and unplug the seat occupancy sensor connector. (Underneath the front passenger seat, at the rear.)
2. Connect our emulator.
3. Start the car.

In a few cases, the airbag fault remains stored in the control unit and must be cleared with a diagnostic tool (this usually happens if you have driven for a long time with the fault light on).

PASSENGER SEATBELT EMULATOR INSTALLATION

1. Remove the key from the ignition.
2. Locate the yellow connector (underneath the front passenger seat). The shape of the connector may vary depending on the vehicle's year, but the color is always yellow.
3. Locate the red and black wires in the connector; they are always next to each other.
4. Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the original red wire and connect the red pin of the emulator.
5. Using a flathead screwdriver, disconnect the original black wire and connect the black pin of the emulator.
6. Leave the original wires loose.
7. Start the car.
